Renfrewshire Council are using local council funding to create paid internships to support local unemployed or ‘under-employed’ graduates. To qualify to apply for an internship you must have graduated with a degree level qualification within the last two years, be 29 or under and live in the Renfrewshire Council area.
We are looking for a dynamic, creative and enthusiastic individual who will bring energy and make a positive contribution to the InCube team and to its community of businesses. InCube is Renfrewshire Council’s new business incubator where new creative retail enterprises get a great base, practical support and business skills training, all designed to help them grow. This is a community of entrepreneurs and innovators whose future success will contribute to Renfrewshire’s economic growth.
The successful graduate will work alongside InCube staff and businesses to plan, organise and support delivery of a series of events and to provide marketing and PR support.
As part of the ongoing activities of the Incubator Hub, the successful candidate will assist in organising a series of events, markets, workshops and promotional activities that our businesses will use to enhance their brand awareness, sell their products & in doing so contribute to the town centre regeneration strategy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain experience in event management, marketing & PR, and develop a wide variety of organisational skills in a vibrant, busy, creative business environment.
The need to develop positive and pro-active connections with a range of public, private and voluntary sector groups will allow the intern to develop communication and relationship management skills.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
Events: operational support with planning and delivery of pop-up markets, events and workshops.
Marketing: support and contribute to the development of marketing plans and make positive contributions to the social media campaigns of both the businesses and InCube.
PR: contribute to the development of relationships with appropriate media channels and assist with creation and delivery of suitable content
