Busy first day for our new InCube businesses

On Tuesday 12th July our InCube businesses had a busy first day hearing from Business Gateway, MAKLab Glasgow & Vanilla Ink.

Business Gateway started first in the morning. Graeme Currie spoke to our businesses explaining what Business Gateway has to offer.

Richard Clifford from MAKLab spoke about his journey creating extremely successful charity.

MAKLab was founded in 2012 to allow people to access the latest disruptive technologies but since then we have grown and now deliver teaching workshops, community outreach programmes, professional development and accredited learning for a wide demographic across Scotland.

Richard discussed also the offer for InCube businesses and new studio opening in Paisley very soon. Paisley studio will be equipped with great number of exciting hardware dedicated to production (e.g. 3D printers, laser cutters etc.)

Kate Pickering from Vanilla Ink told her story of creating successful venture. Vanilla Ink is Scotland’s unique jewellery studio, with the aim of developing new talent by providing a supportive incubator ‘pod’. Vanilla Ink enables the UK’s best new designers to develop and grow their business in a fully equipped workshop, with each ‘Inker’ given tailored mentoring and monthly professional development workshops throughout the year- the perfect starter package to ensure each ‘Inker’ develops confidence and business skills to last a lifetime.
