Retailing: Pitching to Buyers
June 26 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
This half-day workshop will focus on the value of selling via a stockist / retailer versus selling direct via your own website and will explore:
- How to cost & price your work for wholesale sales
- Researching your market
- How to target & approach the right buyers
- Using social media to approach buyers /stockist and raise your profile
- Preparing for a Trade Show
- Building and maintaining relationships with buyers
- How to negotiate with a buyer
The workshop will engage participants during the session to answer questions about their own business and complete a worksheet which will provide the basis for a retail strategy for their own business. At the end of the workshop participants will have created a document which gives an outline of their own retail strategy regarding wholesale sales, targeting stockists and 3 main goals to prioritise going forward.
