Dominika Żurawska, born in 1982 in Poland. Her artistic education started at PLSP High School of Art, Poland (1997 –2001) where she specialised in painting, drawing, sculpting and graphic design and continued at Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland.
In 2002 she had her first solo exhibition where all paintings were sold at opening night. Five further exhibitions took place between 2002 and 2005 (when she won Artist of the Year competition) with paintings being sold to private collectors as far afield as Poland, Germany, Norway and Greece.
Further solo exhibitions took place between 2014 and 2015 in United Kingdom and further shows will soon be announced including an exhibition at Parallax Art Fair in London in July and Italy in August 2015. In June 2015 Dominika won first prize in the annual competition run by the prestigious Society of Women Artists and was presented with her prize by HRH Princess Michael of Kent.
In 2016 D.O.M. art works have been booked for exhibitions in Paris, Barcelona and New York.
As a successful award winning international artist Dominika will be now launching D.O.M. art School of Art which will be located in Paisley, Renfrewshire. The school will be dedicated to 3 different groups:
- art classes for children where Dominika and experienced artists will be working on developing children’s manual skills, imagination and creativity
- art classes for future art students where they will be helping to create a successful portfolio for Academy of Fine Arts candidates
- art as a form of therapy –where people of all ages will be welcome to the group.
Dominika is recognisable as one of the most talented and fastest emerging artists in United Kingdom.
