Eva is a mother of three who was taught to sew by her seamstress grandmother on a hand cranked Singer sewing machine. She produced her first dress at the age of only 10 years old and later went on to graduate in Fashion Design.
Working as a fashion designer in her native Bulgaria, Eva was conscious of the impact of clothing on its wearer’s mood, and was influenced by the colourful patterns and rich colours of her country’s national folk art and costume.
After moving to Paisley, Eva watched her own children respond to the colours around them, and the idea formed to create “happy clothes for happy kids”. Atelier Eva Art creates high quality handmade children’s clothing and accessories all made from beautifully bright, colourful fabrics. Each item is individually designed to be modern, comfortable and durable. All garments are made from cotton, organic cotton (Oeko-Tex and GOTS Certified ) or linen. The styles and designs marry tradition styles with contemporary design and the needs of children for the freedom to play and be creative.
Eva is continually experimenting with her designs and was recently selected for a place on the InCube programme to support her in growing her business.
