About Cindy

Born and now back in Gourock following stints living and working in Australia and London, Cindy is personally and professionally passionate about small business startups and their valuable contribution to the future role of Scotland as a vibrant, international business community.

With experience of setting up and running 3 family businesses in the creative industries and tourism sectors, Cindy has a wealth of insight into the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. She has worked as a Business Development Executive within the tourism and creative industries and until recently was Chair of the Prince’s Trust funding appraisal panel. As a Director of Greenock Chamber of Commerce, Cindy’s focus is on developing and nurturing small and micro businesses, and in encouraging and creating opportunities for collaboration.

Cindy loves travelling, walking , interior design, live music, sailing (in sunny weather!) and all things Scottish.

My guilty pleasure is...

Chicken & mushroom Pot Noodle with crusty bread.

When I was growing up I wanted to be:

A policewoman in the mounted branch – thwarted by only ever reaching 5 feet in height!

3 things I'd take to a desert island:

My beloved red labradoodle pup Ruairi, a Kindle & an endless supply of mozarella, tomatoes & basil.

Something you might not know:

I’m half Dutch.
